Colorado Approves Bill to Fight Excessive Tow Charges

Beginning on July 15th truck drivers in Colorado will be able to file non-consensual tow complaints to the Colorado Public Utilities Commission if they feel they have been overcharged. The previous regulations did not protect heavy-duty vehicles and there were few options operators could do if they felt the rates were excessive. The new law in conjunction with the 2013 law require rules and maximum rates will help those who are involved with a non-consensual tow.
